Irving Street Station

This was a unique project tying together multiple facets of J. A. Morris Construction’s skills. The project site consisted of one existing building and undeveloped land which two other buildings were to be built on. The existing building included the demolition of parts of the existing structure, changing the building foot print and changing the building’s use. The interior was reconfigured for 12,585 square feet of professional office space. The two new Class A Office Buildings (28,380 square feet and 24,123 square feet), built out of structural steel and composite decking, proved to be a challenge as they were built on a sloped site requiring subterranean piles and engineered foundations to be installed for stabilization of the buildings. This project required a close working relationship with the design, civil and engineering teams throughout the site and building construction phase. We have also completed the tenant improvements in 90 percent of all three buildings.
