J.A. Morris Construction, LLC is a second-generation construction and general contracting company specializing in the site development and construction of commercial properties. It was founded by Jim and Jim Morris and is now owned and managed by their daughter and son-in-law, Shelby and Dustin Hentges. Our family has more than 35 years’ experience in the field of site development, commercial building, and tenant improvements. During that time, we have developed, constructed, and managed over half a million square feet of commercial properties.
Shelby began with J.A. Morris in 2004 working in the office and is now the Managing Member and Chief Operating Officer. Dustin began with the company in 2005 as a bookkeeper and is now the CEO and CFO, as well as oversees all projects progress. Paul Orth is the Project Manager and joined the company in 2016. He has 24 years of construction experience and specializes in new construction, tenant improvement, and site development. In 2015, Tayah Bushell joined as an administrative assistant and is now the Office Manager handling all of the payroll, reporting, and billing. Martin Salzer serves as a Project Superintendent with more than 30 years of experience.

Morris Construction has over many of our competitors is the ability to take your construction project from the “ground-up” using our in-house design personnel, including CAD draftsperson, and our outstanding group of subcontractors, some of whom we have worked with for over 30 years. J. A. Morris is a growing company with the ability to successfully complete projects ranging from small office tenant improvements to complete development projects, beginning with site work through interior finishes. Our staff has extensive experience in working both with government and public agencies, as well as private parties, and as a result brings a broad and extensive background of experiences in the development of commercial construction projects. This enables us to provide customers with a high quality and cost effective end product that both customer and contractor are proud of.
